Brook Farm House
Saturday September 12th from 10am until Noon.
Join Farmer Leanna Mulvihill for a tour at Four Legs Farm. Feed and water the pigs, then walk out into the pasture to serve grain to the lambs and check their water supplies. Learn why pigs eat mostly grain, but lambs only get grain as a treat, how an electric fence works, and why cows make excellent babysitters for lambs! Leanna will answer all your questions along the way, and is happy to explain the art of animal husbandry and how a Meat Share business model works.
Participants should wear boots or sneakers and long pants. For more info call 845 616 9221 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Gather at the Brook Farm House, 151 Lenape Lane, New Paltz (first house on Lenape Lane off Butterville Road in New Paltz.)
